“sdl-image1.2” package is used in Ubuntu to support image loading. It has three main libraries. These are:
libsdl-image1.2: Image loading library for simple DirectMedia Layer 1.2, libraries
libsdl-image1.2-dbg: Image loading library for Simple DirectMedia Layer 1.2, debugging
libsdl-image1.2-dev: Image loading for simple DirectMedia Layer 1.2, development files.
All are required to install if you want to load images or want to use graphics.h files.
SDL is Simple DirectMedia Layer is library that allows programs portable low level access to a video framebuffer, audio output, mouse and keyboard. We can use, “libsdl1.2debian-all” for all available options of this.
